Rebecca is a Behavioral Therapist at Think Kids. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Science (Honors) from the University of Queensland (Brisbane, Queensland, Australia). She also has a Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
Rebecca is passionate to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs
and their communities. She has experience working with young children
and has volunteered in various programs catering for children with special needs
and caregivers’ respite. Through her commitment to the field, Rebecca has also devoted her time to participating in research, which involves the development and production of a social-emotional learning kit for preschoolers experiencing signs of learning difficulties.
Rebecca believes that every child with special needs can lead meaningful lives if provided with the right resources care and support. She finds joy in seeing children gain confidence and achieve their milestones. She also enjoys seeking out opportunities for children to discover their strengths and personalities.
As the early years are fundamental to how a child learns, Rebecca hopes to ensure that these learning opportunities are positive and individualized for the child’s holistic development. She also believes in partnering and empowering parents and caregivers for each child to realize his/her potential.
During her spare time, Rebecca loves trying out new recipes and cooking for her family. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
