Cheryl is a Play Therapist, accredited by the British Association of Play Therapist (BAPT). She holds a Masters in Play Therapy and completed her training in London, UK. She has extensive experience working in schools and community services in Singapore and London, supporting children and youths with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, developmental learning difficulties and emotional difficulties stemming out from various reasons such as school bullying, developmental trauma, neglect, parental separation, and other challenging family circumstances.

Cheryl uses a child-centred approach to inform her work with her clients. Depending on the needs of each individual client, she uses both directive and non-directive play therapy approaches in her sessions.

As a professional working with children and youths, Cheryl advocates the importance of collaborative work with parents, caregivers and teachers. Through her work with the children, she also works with the adults involved in the child’s life to promote emotional well-being and holistic development.
