Theresa Fan

Case Supervisor
B Psychology (Australia)
Theresa Fan is a Case Supervisor with Think Kids.  She holds a Bachelors in Psychology from Murdoch University in Australia and specialises in Developmental Psychology and early intervention.

Theresa has more than 10 years of experience in early intervention working with children with developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disorders.

Theresa not only provides intervention using techniques such as Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) but also works closely with psychologists to develop individualised programs for the children. At the same time she has provided guidance, support and training for therapists, family members and caregivers to facilitate better understanding of ASD, how best to manage the difficulties they are presented with and practical steps to help build independence.

Interacting with youths and young children has always come naturally to Theresa. She has organised, led and been involved in a range of children’s activities, since her teens. She is also a volunteer for various kids’ programs, camps and special needs associations in Singapore. Theresa advocates the importance of early intervention in collaboration with parents to help guide, shape and develop independent life skills.

Being a mother of three young children herself, Theresa believes that parenting is not an easy job under the best of circumstances and can appreciate the challenge when you are parenting a child with special needs or a child who needs extra help to reach his or her developmental milestones.

Theresa has studied, trained and lived internationally. She has worked in numerous settings and with children from various cultures and backgrounds. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
