Theresa is a Case Supervisor at Think Kids with over 15 years of experience. She has extensive early intervention experience, specializing in supporting children with ASD and developmental delays, focusing on ABA-based intervention.
She collaborates closely with psychologists to design individualized programs and provides training for therapists, parents, and caregivers to manage challenges and build independence. A firm believer that early intervention works best when involving parents as key partners, she works to equip families with practical skills to foster growth and development at home. Theresa also regularly works closely with schools to support the
child in the schooling environment.
Theresa is keen to continually equip herself to better support the children that she works with. She has obtained certifications in areas of Dyslexia and Literacy Teaching, Supporting SpLD Learners in Advanced English Literacy Skills and Supporting SpLD Learners in English Exam Skills (English Paper 2) and continues to do so. Theresa also has a keen interest in how Mindfulness and Grounding techniques can be beneficial to one’s well-being, especially in the area of emotional regulation. She has completed various Mindfulness courses and Kids’ Yoga Teacher Training course. In doing so, Theresa aims to use the skills attained to support the kids she works with in a wholistic manner.
As a mother of three, Theresa deeply understand the challenges of parenting – especially for children with special needs. Having lived in Australia, the US and Vietnam over the years, she brings a multicultural perspective in the work that she does. Outside of work, Theresa is passionate about working with children and the youth, Theresa has participated in various youth programs and volunteering in camps and special needs associations. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
