Amelia is an Educational & Developmental Psychologist at Think Kids. She holds a Masters in Psychology (Educational and Developmental) and is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Amelia was trained in a range of settings in Australia, including a health clinic, community organisation and mainstream schools. She worked with clients across the lifespan providing psychological assessments for developmental, learning and behavioural needs. She has also provided therapeutic interventions and parenting training for families. She has previously worked as an educator in an autism-focused school in Singapore, providing academic, socio-emotional and behavioural supports to primary-aged children.
Amelia is certified to administer various psychometric assessments for both children and adults. She is also trained in and facilitated the Circle of Security (Intensive) early intervention group program for parents, an evidence based program designed to enhance parent-child relationship bond. She has also facilitated the Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP) aimed at building resiliency and coping skills, as well as various social skills group programs for both children and adolescents.
Amelia enjoys working with children and families, and tailors interventions to each client and their specific needs using a strengths-based approach. Her areas of interests include parenting, attachment, anxiety, emotion regulation, resilience, learning difficulties and developmental needs.
Amelia is proficient in English and Cantonese.
