Wan Teng is a counsellor and Case Supervisor at Think Kids. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Exeter and currently completing a Masters in Counselling with Monash University.

Wan Teng brings with her devoted experience and exposure from volunteering and working in various arenas of mental health. Wan Teng has worked with children with varying needs, such as, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disabilities, and Prader-Willi syndrome. She often takes on a different perspective to learning, one that is filled with creativity and play.

Wan Teng believes in providing targeted early intervention to help each child strive for their best and is an advocate for taking a collaborative approach in partnership with parents, schools and other allied health professionals to maximise every child’s learning potential. Wan Teng believes that everyone’s needs and ways of learning are different and that with the right support and learning environment, any skill can be nurtured. She takes joy in seeing children grow and learn all while having a good time. Wan Teng hopes to support children with special needs in developing skills that can help assimilate them into an inclusive society. In her spare time, Wan Teng enjoys cooking and finding new DIY projects to decorate her home. She is proficient in English, Mandarin and Hakka.
